This special Tzedakah Box is created in the likeness of New Orleans’ famous streetcars.  This piece was commissioned by a member of the New Orleans Jewish community to thank those many friends of New Orleans who have contributed their time, energy, and financial resources to rebuild the community.  Some will be given as gifts to deserving individuals while others will be made available for sale as a way to raise funds to be donated to a worthy New Orleans charity.  These boxes may be bought directly from The Gary Rosenthal Collection, here, as well as from Dashka Roth's Gallery in New Orleans.  10% from the sale of each of these tzedakah boxes will be donated to the New Orleans Jewish Federation   A total of 80 red, 80 blue, and a special large version were initially created and a second production run has begun.   Each tzedakah box is signed and numbered by Gary.  Read more about The Gary Rosenthal Collection's work with New Orleans here .
